ORDER:
In the reference first read above, Government have issued orders permitting 20% quota for
in-service Nursing personnel to study M.Sc., (Nursing) Course in Government Nursing College,
Somajiguda, Hyderabad.
2. In the reference second read above, orders were issued fixing the quota upto 20% for in-service
Nursing personnel for admission to M.Sc., (Nursing) course in Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences,
Hyderabad & Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupathi and such other Semi-Autonomous
/ Autonomous Institutions to be established and where Grant-in-Aid is provided by the Government and
to treat the period of their study as “Deputation”. The period of service in the Government for making
application to the M.Sc. (Nursing) has been enhanced from the (3) years to (5) years.
3. In the reference third read above, orders were issued enhancing the quota from 20% to 40% for
the in-service Nursing Personnel for admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) Course in Government College of
Nursing, Hyderabad and to treat the period of their study as “Deputation”.
4. In the reference fifth read above the Director of Health, has requested the Government to exempt
the in-service candidates on deputation to P.G. Medical Nursing and Para-Medical courses from the
applicability of the Circular Memo. fourth read above in the interest of administration.
5. In the reference sixth read above the Registrar, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences,
Tirupathi, while furnishing the list of certain Nursing personnel who got admission into M.Sc., (Nursing)
Course for the academic year 2010-11, as in-service candidates under 20% quota, requested the
Government to take necessary action.
6. In the reference seventh read above certain Nursing Personnel, who got their admissions into
M.Sc., (Nursing) Course, as in-service candidates under 20% quota or 40% quota, under the respective
G.Os. issued from time to time, have represented the Government to treat their study period as on
deputation.
7. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby permit the Director of Medical
Education to treat the study period of all the in-service staff nurses studying M.Sc., (Nursing) at NIMS.,
Hyderabad./SVIMS., Tirupathi, (under 20% quota) and at Govt. College of Nursing, Hyderabad, (under
40% quota) shall be treated as “Deputation”, in terms of the orders issued in the Government Orders 2nd
and 3rd read above.
8. This order issued with the concurrence of Finance (FR.I) Department vide their U.O.
No.11710/216/FR.I/11, Dated:03.05.2011.
