A.P GOVT EMPLOYEES LEAVE RULES - VIEW/DOWN LOAD.

Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers’ Associations call off strike on CM’s ‘assurance’:HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' associations (APNGOs), which spearheaded the 66-day strike by the Seemandhra government employees in protest against the division of the state, on Thursday called off the agitation. The employees reportedly ended their strike following an assurance from chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy that he would ensure the defeat of the Telangana resolution in the state assembly.

However, the strike has only been suspended, not completely called off, they said. "We will resume the strike the moment the Centre sends the Telangana resolution to the state assembly. Therefore, the strike stands suspended not called off completely," P Ashok Babu, APNGOs president told the media after the talks with the CM on Thursday.
Apart from the CM, the meeting was attended by ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Pitani Satyanarayana and Kondru Murali on the government side and 34 unions on behalf of the Seemandhra employees. Apart from the defeat of the Telangana resolution, the issue of Article 371(D), which provides job reservation for locals, is said to have come up at the meeting. "Clarity on Article 371(D) and the assembly's disapproval to the division were among our main demands. The CM said he was committed to the cause of Samaikyandhra. Following the assurances, we decided to suspend the strike," said Ashok Babu.
However, he said the CM told the employees that there was no need for resumption of the strike as he was confident of stalling the division. According to Ashok Babu, the CM assured them that he would write to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and home ministerSushilkumar Shinde urging them to keep the concerns of the Seemandhra employees in mind before the bifurcation. The CM also assured the employees that he would get them an audience with the seven-member group of ministers (GoM) and if that fails, Kiran too would boycott the meeting, the APNGOs leader said.
On the issue of the salary during the strike period, Ashok Babu said the employees did not demand that their salaries for the strike period should be paid as their main concern was to keep the state united. "The meeting was not about the demands of employees. We are not even expecting the salary for the striking period," said Ashok Babu. However, according to the sources, the state government is likely to treat the strike period as leave.
